New Delhi: Swedish call tracker Truecaller on Thursday released its latest 12th version with the addition of a new Video Caller ID feature, free user call recording, and a redesigned user interface (UI).

A total of five items have been announced as part of the Truecaller Version 12 update.

“Truecaller is an integral part of the more than 22 million Indians in contact with their work and personal needs. We are humbled by the level of trust people have shown in us but we are also driven by the goal of changing communication, ”Rishit Jhunjhunwala, Chief Product Officer and Managing Director, Truecaller India said in a statement.

The Video ID feature allows users to edit a short video that automatically plays when calling friends and family. Users can choose from one of the built-in video templates or record their own video.

Another Feature of Phone Advertising. Once enabled, the new feature you can select will automatically voice the incoming caller ID. This applies to saved contacts and Truecaller-identified numbers on both standard voice calls and Truecaller HD Voice calls.

Truecaller also makes available a call recording feature for its free users that will be useful during professional note-taking situations. One can listen to or delete the recording within the Truecaller or through the file browser. Recordings can also be easily shared via email, Bluetooth, or any messaging service.

The update brings Ghost Call, with this Truecaller will allow users to set any name, number, and picture to look like they are getting a call from that person. Users will also be able to select a contact from their phone book to make a ghost call.

In addition, the updated Truecaller app brings a simple visual interface where you will have different call tabs and SMS messages. With different tabs, one can now access all your SMS, Truecaller Group Chat, and individual conversations with just one tap.

Truecaller recently announced that it has surpassed 300 million active users worldwide. India continues to be the largest market with more than 220 million active users, with a widespread distribution across the country.
