The global PC market showed a slight growth in the fourth quarter of 2021, according to a company analyst market report. The report shows that the deployment of the desktop, laptops, and workplace has seen a 1 percent annual growth rate (YoY) in the last quarter. Exports of PCs worldwide have risen to 92 million from 91 million units via YoY. Annual shipping worldwide stands at 341 million units. According to the report, Lenovo took first place in the PC deployment, followed by HP, Dell, Apple, and Acer.


According to a report by market analyst company Canalys, global PC exports increased by 1% of YoY by 92 million computers, laptops, and workstations delivered in the fourth quarter of 2021. At the same time in 2020, 91 million PCs were shipped worldwide. This has resulted in the total shipping of PCs worldwide reaching 341 million units by the end of December 2021. By comparison, PC shipping worldwide in 2021 has grown by 15 percent since last year, and 29 percent since 2019. 2021 has also seen the largest PC shipping worldwide. since 2012.


The report also revealed that the PC industry saw an estimated $ 70 billion (approximately Rs. 5,17,510 crore) in Q4 2021 for global shipments, with YoY growing by 11 percent. By 2021, in total, revenues exceeded $ 250 billion (approximately Rs 18,48,290 crore) and accounted for YoY growth by 15 percent.


Lenovo had the largest share of global PC shipping with 21.7 million units shipped in Q4 2021. It was followed by HP, Dell, Apple, and Acer with 18.7 million, 17.2 million , 7.8 million units, and 6.6 million units respectively. Throughout the year, Lenovo posted a record 82.1 million units with a YoY growth of 13.1 percent. HP had a total of 74.1 million units shipped in 2021 with YoY growth of 9.5 percent. Dell and Apple shipped 59.3 million and 29 million units, respectively, by 2021. Acer exported 24.4 million units worldwide over the past year.
